This very popular course runs every Thursday  from there. There are 12 places max to ensure a quality learning experience. 

All sessions are recorded for viewing afterwards. 

wk 1- will cover how to create a character biography from scratch; how to research, where to find information & elements to think about, which will ultimately help you make confident choices as an actor.

You will also start work on creating your own character to be performed for the class at the end of the course

wk 2- is a thorough look at the different tools available to you as an actor, such as deciding on the scene intention, action verbs/actioning, the thought structure of a character, as ifs and how obstacles/stakes can affect your performance. There is also overview of Stanislavski/Meisner on its application to screen acting. We will also look at different types of TV/film scripts.

wk 3- takes an in depth look at showreels & how to do a self-tape. Castings/auditions; how to prepare as an actor, how a director prepares and what they are look for during auditions. Different types of directors and how to work with them. This is followed by a series of mock auditions for which you will prepare.

wk 4- we take an in-depth look at how great screenplays are created and how it will affect you as an actor. You will be taken through the process creating a beat sheet, step outline and script. You will work with your classmates as a group in a mini writers’ room system (as used by all the hit US tv shows) to create a script for online performance using the characters you have been working on.

wk5- is all about how to create your own project, looking at everything from budgeting to scheduling, finding crew & contracts. How to prep as a director. There will also be a case study of a self-created web series that made it to HBO.

The 2nd part of this session will be spent working on the online script and your character. We will also look at how to use structured improv to help create the given circumstances depth of character.

wk 6- is the final session, there will be a re-cap of the previous sessions and a chance to ask more questions on any aspect of what has been covered in the last few weeks. There will be a rehearsal of the script, with feedback/notes, followed a live performance which will be recorded for & available for you to view afterwards.
